Program hangs on XP or Vista

Hello,

I've some PC's in a network. They are using some old Pascal programs
at a Dos-box.

The network is a Novell-network with a BTrieve database.

On 2 new PC's I've got problems. This PC's are running XP and Vista.
The programs runs well, after a time the program hangs. Other programs
(also Pascal programs) stay running in an other dos-box. After several
minutes the dos-box comes free.

Can some one help me?

Hello,

nobody can help you unless we know more about what this hanging
application does. Maybe it ran into some timeout and retries something?
